I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

"When you've got so much to say, it's called gratitude."
-The Beastie Boys
After the last couple of months, this was a blessedly beautiful day to be out in the fresh air. Shortly after surviving an ugly infection and hospitalization, we get hit with about the ugliest stretch of weather in memory. Even in a warm house, the bitterly dry air was murder, besides being absolutely snowed in over Christmas. Yuck.
All the better to appreciate today. It's not touched freezing in most of a week, and those couple of feet of snow are but a memory.
Instead, we had perfect walking weather, in the mid 50s and delightfully moist. Even through the day, there was a misty haze across the woods and fields. Along about the fading 5 o'clock hour, it was the perfect mood inspiring hue to grab the trusty walking stick and take great joy in just being here and able to have a nice stroll through the Rabbit Hollow.
The existential fulfillment was only furthered by the company of my overgrown coon dog puppy, the rebel Rouser. Then top it off with the minor technological blessing of an mp3 player with my custom all Elvis walking mix. "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock" followed by "Pads, Paws and Claws" with "I Washed My Hands in Muddy Water" and "Pump It Up" furthering the joy, and "In the Garden" completed the Sunday evening services.
