----
I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

Jim Carruthers, RIP I pause to note the passing of a blog buddy, Jim Carruthers. I knew him mostly as a fellow Blogcritic. He was a flaming pinko liberal, and one of my favorite sparring partners. He sure loved scrappin'. I'll miss that.
He'd definitely give us arrogant 'Muricans hell. You really have to cut him some slack there for being Canadian. What with their beady little eyes, and their heads so full of lies, what can you expect? There was generally nothing really hateful in him though, even when he was cussing you out.
He carried on like a badass on site sometimes, but privately he was friendly and positively solicitous. I remember him being particularly helpful to me when I was putting together my bug mix CD last year at cicada time. He conjured me up several mp3s of more obscure stuff I didn't know.
A lot of stuff was bugging him it seems. Apparently he went out a few weeks ago and jumped in the river. That's a damned shame. I'll miss him.
