New Album Releases, Week of 1-17-2006: Nina Simone, Terence Trent D'Arby, Aaron Carter
Not much in new music this week. Best bets are some Nina Simone re-masters, such as Forever Young, Gifted & Black: Songs of Freedom and Spirit.
Also noteworthy, Sony is releasing a "best of" compilation by the artist formerly known as Terence Trent D'Arby, Do You Love Me Like You Say: The Very Best of Terence Trent d'Arby. Sananda Matreiya's former life leaves a heller best-of collection- though it absolutely won't take the place of owning Terence Trent D'Arby's Vibrator. This would be a good start for a neophyte, though, and has a couple of sweet sounding rarities for the TTD OG.
