A: The Cocoanut Grove is a famous ballroom attached to the Santa Cruz, CA, Beach Boardwalk (which is celebrating its centennial this year). Boardwalk arcades and amusement park rides (including the Giant Dipper, regularly voted one of America's Top 10 Rollercoasters) are open from 11am to 6pm Saturday, Sunday and Monday for the President's Day Holiday! All Hail Thomas Jefferson! Impeach Bush!
Q: So what is there to do before/after the ceremony?

Howdy Miss Piph, good to make your acquaintance. I don't have the luxury of getting from Indiana out to Cali for this memorial, but I'm sure it'll be a whale of a time.
Then again, I'm not really convinced that California exists. I suspect that "California" is a conspiracy - basically something made up by Republicans to scare the crackers - especially this crazy "San Francisco" town they always talk about.
Yeah, I know a lot of people say that they've actually been there, but then a lot of people insist that they talk to Jesus.
