I wouldn't want to ask people to just give me money cause they like my website, but do please take a quick look at Barger's Boutique. You might find yourself a little something-something for 2 or 3 bucks that you just can't resist! Any of the round images you find around MoreThings will get you to an Amazon page to buy my stuff and help ol' Al keep the lights on.
Links
To explicitly state the obvious, these external links go to interesting and provocative websites, but they speak for themselves. I don't necessarily agree with anything they say - especially that no-goodnik Richard Marcus.

New CD Album Releases, 5-27-2008: Cyndi Lauper, Al Green, Usher Bring Ya to the Brink is my top blind pick of the week. It is Cyndi Lauper's first album of original material in 11 years. She's always had rather a restless spirit, and here turns her first album directly designed as a dance club record. She's always got at least a couple of outstanding songs, and she's certainly one of the best singers of her generation.
As a related side note, she ought to consider doing some songbook albums, a la Ella Fitzgerald. She could start with Cyndi Lauper Sings the John Lennon Songbook. This would really be KILLER, as anyone who's heard her sing "Strawberry Fields Forever" or "Working Class Hero" could tell you.
Lay It Down is the new Blue Note Records release from Al Green. It's always good to hear from Brother Green. I wouldn't think of him as any big modern commercial powerhouse, but this album is as high as #5 currently at Amazon.
Here I Stand is Usher's follow up to the bazillion selling Confessions album. It includes participation from Polow Da Don, Jermaine Dupre, Dre & Vidal and Dream & Tricky Stewart.
