New CD Album Releases, 5-11-2010: Meatloaf, Hoodoo Gurus, Capitol Steps, Crash Test Dummies
Marvin Lee Aday aka Meatloaf has a new album this week, Hang Cool Teddy Bear. It is Jim Steinman-less, but it’s still going to be a big Meatloaf drama fest, including songwriting help from Jon Bon Jovi among others.
I’ve never listened to the Hoodoo Gurus, though I’ve seen the name for years. Haven’t started, but I’ll give them at least a little name check for naming an album Purity of Essence.
The Capitol Steps have an album this week called Liberal Shop of Horrors. They’re not going to make you forget Tom Lehrer, but they are at least a little amusing. Don’t know how many times you’d really want to listen to this.
