Hey, Mother's Day is rough for a lot of folk. Personally, the kind of blues other people seem to get at Christmas more comes to me on Mother's Day. So I visited my Granny this lovely Sunday out at the country cemetary where I'll likely join her one day, and had a nice walk. A few miles strolling the hills will do you more good than Prozac.
But I still came home jonesing for a Mommy fix, and of course craving the vision of Piper Laurie as Margaret White, Carrie's beloved, misunderstood, and highly sexy Mom.
Like all our mother's, Margaret White tried to teach her child right from wrong.
Granted, Mom might go a little overboard with the discipline sometimes.
But still, in the end you know that she'd die for her children.
But to end on a cheery note, most of all I remember Mama's laugh.
