Richard Pryor Has Left the Building Richard Pryordied today. That heart attack finally got him. He was 65.
Among other things, he was the co-writer of Blazing Saddles . He had been intended to star as Bart, but he was so controversial at that point that Mel Brooks could not get financing for the thing with him starring.
